In its standard configuration, the SPECTRO xSORT instrument offers the following features (the instrument must be ordered together with a calibration module and can’t be operated without):

• ICAL software from SPECTRO uses the installed shutter to keep the instrument always in best condition for sample measurement. This includes the MCA method, obligatory for XRF units, and thus additional setup samples are not necessary.

• Removable PDA with Windows integrated into the robust housing and so securely protected from jolts and bumps as spectrometer control unit. If, for certain test conditions, it is difficult to read, it can be easily removed. With the Bluetooth technology used, it remains connected with the instrument.
