      FOREWORD
      Why a new catalogue?
      The AT fans have been one of the main
      strengths in the Nicotra product range
      for over 35 years, developing, along this
      time, into a wide range with countless
      variants. For all this time, the Nicotra AT
      Catalogue, up to version A-6, published
      in 2000, has been an important technical
      reference for all those working in the field
      of ventilation. At the same time, the fans
      of the AT range have long been appreciated for their unequalled combination of
      compactness, efficiency, quietness of
      operation and versatility, at an extremely
      affordable price.
      After so many years, both the product
      and the standards for fan performance
      measurement have evolved considerably.
      This is why Nicotra has found it necessary
      to compley renew the AT Catalogue,
      on the basis of totally new tests, made
      in accordance with the newest measurement standards, so to be able to provide
      again to the customers the most reliable
      fan performance predictions for Nicotra
      AT Fans.
      Also the choice of extending the AMCA
      Air Performance Seal to the AT range, is
      in line with this target of assuring an
      increased reliability and precision of the
      official performance ratings.
      The revised Nicotra AT Catalogue is now
      giving more space to the reference standards for performance and noise ratings,
      and to the description of the accessories
      available, as a complement to the base
      product. At the same time, the introductory part of the older catalogue, which
      gave general information about the use
      and performance of a centrifugal fan, will
      be updated and re-issued as a new publication, the “Nicotra Guide to selection
      and operation of centrifugal fans”.

      Perché un nuovo catalogo ?
      I ventilatori della serie AT sono stati uno
      dei principali punti di forza della gamma
      Nicotra per oltre 35 anni, sviluppandosi
      nel tempo e dando vita ad innumerevoli
      varianti. Per tutto questo tempo, il catalogo Nicotra AT, fino all’edizione A-6 del
      2000, è stato un sicuro riferimento per i
      tecnici operanti nel settore della ventilazione, mentre i ventilatori AT continuano
      ad essere apprezzati per la loro ineguagliata combinazione di compattezza, efficienza, silenziosità e versatilità, cui si

      Warum ein neuer Katalog ?
      Die Ventilatoren der Serie AT waren über
      35 Jahre lang eine der St?rken in der
      Nicotra Produktionsreihe; mit der Zeit
      wurden sie in unz?hligen Varianten weiterentwickelt. In diesem Zeitraum slte
      der Nicotra AT-Katalog bis zur Ausgabe
      A-6 aus dem Jahr 2000 immer einen
      sicheren Bezugspunkt für Techniker aus
      dem Lüftungsbereich dar, w?hrend sich
      die Ventilatoren AT weiterhin aufgrund
      ihrer unvergleichbaren Kombination aus
      Kompaktheit, Wirkungsgrad, Ger?uscharmut und vielseitiger Verwendbarkeit bei
      einem ?u?erst angenehmen Preis gro?er
      Beliebtheit erfreuen.
      In all diesen Jahren haben nicht nur das
      Produkt selbst sondern auch die Normen
      und Prüftechnologien der Ventilatoren
      einen bemerkenswerten Entwicklungsschub erfahren.
      Es hat sich daher als notwendig erwiesen
      aufgrund der bei den Prüfungen angewandten neuen Messverfahren den AT-Katalog
      zu überholen, so dass den Anwendern

      der Leistungsberechnung garantiert werden kann.
      Damit die angegebenen aeraulischen
      Leistungen m?glichst pr?zise und verl?sslich erreicht werden k?nnen, hat man sich
      entschlossen die AMCA Zertifizierung auf
      die AT - Serie auszudehnen.
      Der überholte Nicotra AT Katalog widmet
      nun der Beschreibung der Normbezüge
      betreffend die Prüfverfahren, sowie den
      dem Basisprodukt zur Verfügung stehenden Zubeh?rteile mehr Raum, w?hrend
      hingegen der allgemeine Einführungspart
      im alten Katalog wo Einsatz und Leistungen des Ventilators allgemein beschrieben
      werden, nun nach sorgf?ltiger überholung
      neu ver?ffentlich wird, und zwar im neuen

      Pourquoi un nouveau catalogue?
      Les ventilateurs de la gamme AT ont été
      au cours des ces 35 dernières années la
      principale force de production de Nicotra
      dans une large gamme et avec de nombreuses variantes. Au cours de cette
      période le catalogue Nicotra AT jusqu’à
      sa dernière version A-6 2000 a été une
      référence de travail dans le milieu de la
      ventilation. Les ventilateurs de la gamme
      AT ont été appréciés pour la multitude
      de leurs variantes de constructions et
      leurs efficacité, tout en conservant une
      compétitivité de prix.
      Après ces nombreuses années, la production et les standards ayant évolués
      considérablement, il était nécessaire de
      renouveler complètement ce catalogue
      et de le mettre en phase avec les nouvelles
      normes de mesures aérauliques et phoniques et d’offrir ainsi un outil de sélection

      La serie AT è composta da ventilatori

      giranti con pale curve in avanti, caratterizzate da dimensioni contenute in
      rapporto alle prestazioni erogate, e

      The AT range is made of double width,
      double inlet fans, with forward curved
      blade impellers, which are characterised by their relatively small size,
      when compared with their performance, and by a low noise level.
      These fans use a scroll design specifically developed to provide the best
      performance when used with forward
      curved impellers.
      Their size series is composed of a
      series of nominal impeller diameters,
      traditionally identified with their value
      in inches, combined with two different
      impeller widths for each diameter,
      again given by their value in inches.
      The AT range is consequently made

      Les ventilateurs AT existent dans les
      versions suivantes:

      La gama AT se compone de ventiladores centrífugos de doble aspiración,
      con rodetes de palas curvadas hacia
      delante, caracterizados por su tama?o
      relativamente peque?o, comparados
      con las prestaciones suministradas
      y por un bajo nivel de ruido de funcionamiento.
      Estos ventiladores usan un dise?o de
      voluta expresamente desarrollado
      para proporcionar el mejor funcionamiento cuando sea usado con rodetes
      de pala hacia delante.
      Su serie de tama?os se obtiene combinando una serie de diámetros nominales de los rodetes, tradicionalmente expresados en pulgadas, con
      dos anchuras de rodete para cada
      diámetro, expresado también en pulgadas.
      La gama de ventiladores AT se compone por lo tanto de los 21 siguientes
      dimensiones estándar de rodete:
      La estructura modular de los impulsores permite, si se necesita, el desarrollo de versiones especiales, con
      anchuras no estándar.
      La serie, compuesta de versiones
      simples, dobles y triples, permite
      suministrar caudales entre 450 m3/h
      y 240.000 m3/h, con presiones totales
      hasta 2400 Pa.

      Versioni costruttive binate
      Per applicazioni che richiedono un
      ingombro verticale contenuto, o quando la portata d’aria debba essere distribuita su di un vasto fronte, i ventilatori AT sono disponibili anche in
      versione binata, ovvero con due ventole a doppia aspirazione, montate
      sul medesimo albero, sostenuto da
      due o tre cuscinetti.
      Queste versioni sono generalmente
      contraddistinte dal prefisso G2. Questi
      ventilatori sono disponibili nelle seguenti grandezze:
      Nelle versioni G2C e G2C-C2 l’uso di
      alberi cavi, costruiti con tubolari di
      grosso diametro, consente la costruzione del ventilatore binato con due
      soli cuscinetti, collocati all’estremità
      dell’albero, pur mantenendo una elevata velocità massima di esercizio.
      Questa configurazione agevola notevolmente la manutenzione del ventilatore, eliminando radicalmente le
      difficoltà causate da una eventuale
      sostituzione del cuscinetto collocato
      tra le due giranti. Alcune versioni
      G2C sono dotate di due soli cuscinetti
      pur con un albero pieno convenzionale.
      Twin fan versions
      Where a limited fan height is required,
      or when the airflow must be diffused
      on a wide front, AT fans are available
      also as double or twin fan versions,
      with two double inlet impellers on a
      common shaft, supported by two or
      three bearings.
      These versions are normally identified
      by the G2 prefix. Double fans are
      available in the following sizes:
      In fan versions G2C and G2C-C2, the
      use of large diameter hollow shafts
      allows a design with just two bearings,
      mounted at the two shaft ends, but
      still with a high maximum fan speed.
      This design simplifies fan maintenance, avoiding the need to carry out a
      complex operation like the changing
      of a bearing located between the two
      impellers. Some G2C sizes have two
      bearings even with a conventional
      solid shaft.

      Wo die Bauh?he begrenzt ist oder der
      Luftaustritt auf eine breite Front erfolgt, sind die Ventilatoren AT auch als
      Zwillingsausführung erh?ltlich, d.h.
      mit zwei Laufr?dern, doppelseitig saugend, auf die gleiche Welle montiert
      und drei-oder vierfach gelagert.
      Diese Versionen sind durch den Vorsatz G2 gekennzeichnet. Diese Ventilatoren sind in den folgenden Gr??en
      erh?ltlich:
      In den Versionen G2C und G2C-C2
      erm?glicht eine hohle Welle in Rohrform mit gro?em Durchmesser eine
      Ventilatorkonstruktion mit nur zwei
      Lagern, die zwar am Wellenende angebracht sind, jedoch eine hohe Betriebsdrehzahl liefern. Diese Anordnung erleichtert die Instandhaltung
      des Ventilators erheblich, da bei einem
      eventuellen Austausch der Lager, diese nicht zwischen zwei Laufr?der sitzen. Einige Versionen des Typs G2C
      haben nur zwei Lager, die an einer
      konventionnellen vollen Welle angebracht sind.
      Version avec deux ventilateurs
      Pour des applications requérant un
      encombrement vertical réduit, les
      ventilateurs AT sont disponibles en
      version double, avec deux turbines à
      double ou?e montées sur un arbre
      commun supporté par deux ou trois
      paliers.
      Ces versions sont identifiées par le
      sigle G2 et sont disponibles dans les
      versions suivantes:
      Les ventilateurs en versions G2C et
      G2C-C2, utilisent des arbres creux de
      grand diamètre soutenus par deux
      paliers avec deux bouts d’arbre permettant des vitesses de rotation élevées. Cette conception facilite la maintenance et l’entretien des roulements
      évitant le démontage difficile des paliers situés entre les deux turbines.
      Certaines tailles de ventilateurs G2C
      sont équipés d’un arbre plein mais
      toujours monté sur deux paliers.
      Versiones constructivas dobles
      Donde se necesita una altura limitada
      o donde el caudal de aire tiene que
      ser distribuido en una gran anchura,
      los ventiladores AT están disponibles
      en versiones dobles o sea con dos
      rodetes de doble aspiración montadas
      en un eje común, sujetados por dos
      o tres rodamientos.
      Estas versiones son normalmente
      identificadas por el prefijo G2. Los
      ventiladores dobles están disponibles
      en los siguientes tama?os.
      En las versiones de ventiladores G2C
      y G2C-C2, el uso de ejes huecos,
      construidos con tubos de gran diá-
      metro, permiten la construcción del
      ventilador doble con dos rodamientos,
      montados en los dos extremos del
      eje, pero con una gran velocidad máxima del ventilador. Esta configuración
      facilita el mantenimiento del ventilador
      eliminando radicalmente las dificultades causadas por una eventual sustitución del rodamiento situado entre
      los dos rodetes. Algunas versiones
      G2C tienen dos rodamientos inclusos
      con un eje convencional macizo.
