      ADOS Multitronik 592 is a modular-constructed measure
      -
ment, control and warning unit, designed for universal
      use with gas sensors.
Various types of sensors can be connected to the system
      by means of a 4

20 mA current interface or the LON
      ?
      field-bus.
ADOS Multitronik 592 in conjunction with the ADOS 592
      TOX CO LON
      ?
gas-test sensor, conforms to the require
      -
ments of the German VDI 2053 standard.
The microcontroller-aided unit allows installation of an
all-electronic version without pneumatic components as
well as the assembly of a version with gas intake.
In the all-electronic version, each measuring point is fit
      -
ted with a local gas sensor, with the signals being trans
      -
ferred to the unit by way of a current interface.
Specific application versions, using 19"-techniques, are
realised by inserting standard format plug-in Euro-cards
into a Bus system and the use of the modules required
      for a defined application.

All information significant to operation is displayed in
      clear text on a 4-line, 16-digit display.This information
includes the gas actual value, gas half-hourly average
value, monitoring period, measuring point, sequence
timing, alarm and faults (or errors).
The alarms and centralised malfunctions are all
      indicated by LED ?s.
A total 6 keys are used to operate the equipment.
Four keys, together with menu-assistence, are used for

an alarm, can be cancelled either at the unit or as an
      option, externally.
Digital switching outputs can be used for any ventilation

A charging unit for 24 V battery supply is integrated.
The apparatus can be equipped with or without UPS
(uninterruptable power system), according to the
      German VDI 2053 recommendations.
The unit is delivered as standard, in a three-section

Tunnel installations are characterized by a high degree of EMC disturbance
(by tunnel radio) and by the occurence of water (during tunnel cleaning). The
EMC and Water Protection Housing V2A provides an enhanced protection in
order to increase the EMC resistance as well as a reliable protection again
water intrusion into the gas transmitters. All gas transmitters, that are usually
installed to monitor tunnel atmospheres (CO, NO, NO
      2
, LEL), can be used along
with the EMC and Water Protection Housing V2A.

      XT Series
      Bulletin #8400-654c
      Description
The XT1110 interfaces discrete I/O signals
between measurement and control devices over
      Ethernet. Channels are individually configurable
for input or low-side switched output operation.
Rugged construction, high density design, and
easy USB-to-PC/Windows setup combine for a
very effective I/O solution. These units are ideal
for remote monitoring, distributed control, or
      SCADA applications.
      Input/Output Ranges
      Input: 0-32V DC, TTL thresholds
      Output: 0-32V DC, open-drain, up to 250mA

interface for up to eight differential voltage input
channels. Isolated differential inputs deliver better
      measurements, superior noise rejection, and
eliminate the need for signal isolators.
Rugged construction, high density design, and
easy USB-to-PC/Windows setup combine for a
very effective and reliable module. These units
are ideal for remote monitoring, distributed
      control, or SCADA applications.

The ITR 498 infrared gas analysis system
      measures
continuously the concentration of carbon dioxid. This
gas has typical absorption bands in the infrared region
of radiation with which the exact concentration can be
determined. Typically used for measurements over the
      range of 0–5.000 ppm to 0–100 Vol%.
The ITR 498 is available as: transmitter with current
output, as complete test unit with optical, acoustic and
electrical output as well as a hand-held tester.
      Application

Monitoring the ventilation and air conditioning,
according to TRSK 313, for cellarage containing
      carbon dioxide bottles

Monitoring the ventilation in fruit storage rooms

Regulating climatic conditions in large open-plan
      offices or
      departmental stores

Monitoring the maximum concentration at working
      places,
      according to TRGS 900 (MAC-value)

Monitoring carbon dioxide fire extinguishing systems

      Analysing flue gases

      Monitoring production processes
      (e.g. fermenting processes)

      Optimising chemical processes

      and others
      Fields of Application
The ADOS ITR 498 gas analysis
       units function on the
      principle of non-dispersive infrared absorption.
The wide-band infrared radiation generated by the
radiating element, passes through measurement and
reference filters, then on to the gas measuring vessel.
The measurement filter allows the passage of infrared
radiation in a wavelength range which includes the gas
absorption bands of the gas to be measured.
The reference filter on the other hand, allows the
passage of a wavelength range in which there are
no absorption bands of the gas.
From the absorption of the infrared radiation in the
measurement chamber, the concentration of the gas
is calculated and evaluated by a microcontroller.
