      Design
      Beautifully shaped, shock-resistant plastic casing. Protection class IP44/IP65, for
      sur-face mounting, switching symbols 0 and I. The isolator is fitted with connection
      terminals that are very accessible and has a con-nection diagram glued in the casing.
      The ESH21 up to 3 kW is designed to IP44. It is equipped with an integrated locking mechanism.
      The ESH21 up to 5.5 kW is designed to IP65. It is equipped with a coupling cover
      and an integrated locking mechanism. A padlock can in some cases be fitted to the
      rotary switch.
      Function
      The isolator disconnects the fan safely from the mains in the event of cleaning, maintenance or repair work on site and thus avoids accidents due to uncontrolled activation of the unit by third parties. It is no main switch or emergency switch.
      All of the classified isolators are fitted with potential-free contacts (1 closer
      and 1 opener).
      The isolators for motors with a built-in thermal contact have on principle three supplementary auxiliary contacts, so that the pre-switched control device does not drop out
      during cleaning or servicing work due to motor.
      Caution about combination with frequency inverter!
      Special EMC-action can be necessary, furthermore do not switch during operation,
      overvoltages can destroy the switch and the motor-winding.
      The isolators are grouped according to motor rated power.
      All important characteristic data are evident from the model designation. E.g.: ESH 21-0030-65

      connections.

      6. PRESTAZIONI DEL MOTORE ELETTRONICO
      PROGRAMMABILE
      Il motore elettronico è predisposto per funzionare in “MODO
      PROGRAMMATO” per fornire diverse prestazioni a seconda degli
      usi. La struttura dell’algoritmo inligente lo rende adatto ad un
      controllo a PORTATA e PRESSIONE costante sensorless.
      Tutte le programmazioni sono residenti e si mantengono anche allo
      spegnimento del motore stesso .
      E’ possibile programmare:
      ? Diverse caratteristiche di funzionamento (denominate più
      comunemente Curve)
      ? Il tipo di ingresso con cui selezionare una caratteristica di
      funzionamento (denominato Modo di Funzionamento)
      La flessibilità del sistema permette di associare i segnali di controllo
      alle curve in modi diversi a seconda delle applicazioni.
      7. CARATTERISTICHE DI FUNZIONAMENTO
      (CURVE)
      Il motore è stato studiato per le seguenti caratteristiche:
      ? 32 curve a portata costante o pressione costante selezionabili
      con segnali analogici.
      ? 16 punti di definizione per ogni curva.
      ? Approssimazione lineare tra i punti di definizione.
      ? Precisione del controllo di ogni punto (come potenza) di:
      ± 4 watt per i modelli da 370Wout
      ± 7 watt per i modelli da 550Wout
      ± 10 watt per i modelli da 750Wout
      ± 10 watt per i modelli da 1050Wout
      ? Il range di utilizzo selezionato con una delle possibili
      combinazioni di dip-switches, viene evidenziato da un numero
      di giri minimo e massimo.
      ? Possibilità di riprogrammare le curve fino a 10.000 volte.
      ? Definizione di un limite di funzionamento per ogni curva che
      stabilisce una condizione di carico oltre alla quale segnalare un
      allarme (vedi sezione ALLARMI FILTRI).
      La Nicotra S.p.A. dispone di una gamma standard completa di
      ventilatori centrifughi che adottano questo tipo di tecnologia. La
      particolarità del prodotto lo rende adatto a tutte quelle applicazioni
      dove è previsto un controllo preciso della portata e della pressione
      senza dover più avere dei regolatori o dei sistemi di controllo con
      sonde ecc. per poter garantire ed identificare un punto di lavoro. La
      programmazione di questi ventilatori viene effettuata presso il
      nostro stabilimento e non può essere modificata.
      6. PERFORMANCES OF PROGRAMMABLE MOTOR
      Electronic motor has been designed to work in “PROGRAMMED
      MODE” to run in different ways for many applications. Inligent
      flow-chart is used to allow sensorless constant AIRFLOW and
      PRESSURE control.
      All the programs are internally stored in the motor even in the power
      down condition.
      It’s possible to program:
      ? Different performance characteristics (called CURVES)
      ? Input type to select a performance (called WORKING MODE)
      Controllability, by input signals, is very user friendly.
      7. PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS (CURVES)
      Motor has been designed with following characteristics:
      ? 32 constant aiflow or constant pressure curves selectable by
      analog input signals.
      ? Curves defined with 16 points.
      ? Linear interpolation between curve points.
      ? Precision of control point (as power) of:
      ± 4 watt for 370Wout models
      ± 7 watt for 550Wout models
      ± 10 watt for 750Wout models
      ± 10 watt for 1050Wout models
      ? Working range selected with one of the possible dip-switches
      combinations, is shown with a a minimum and a maximum
      speed.
      ? 10,000 cycles of reprogramming.
      ? Definition of function limit for each curve with load parameter
      to give an alarm when data goes out of range (see ALARM
      section).
      Nicotra S.p.A. has got a complete standard range of centrifugal fans
      using this type of technology. The particularity of the product suits
      it to all those applications where a precise control of volume and
      pressure is required without the need of any regulator or control
      system with measuring probes. These fans are factory programmed
      and should not be modified without approval.

      I dip-switch in questa programmazione prendono una
      configurazione come da tabella 4 in allegato.

      (potenziometric 0-5V, 0-10V, 4-20mA). Dip-switches
      configuration in this working mode is shown in table 4.

      8. MODO DI FUNZIONAMENTO
      Il motore elettronico è stato studiato per avere diversi modi di
      funzionamento con cui essere controllato.
      Si rende adatto agli standard più comuni di controllo analogico o a
      un controllo semplice mediante semplici combinazioni di dip
      switch, come mostrato in maniera dettagliata in allegato.
      In tutte le selezioni di tipo analogico è stato inserito un sistema di
      selezione con isteresi.
      L’isteresi viene calcolata automaticamente in funzione del numero
      di selezioni possibili e del range di valore analogico di ingresso
      (isteresi = metà dell’intervallo di selezione).
      8. WORKING MODE
      Electronic motor has been designed to be flexibily controlled by
      common analog standard application or with simple combination of
      dip-switches, as shown below.
      All analog selections have built in input hysteresis.
      Hysteresis is automatically calculated as a function of number of
      selection steps.

      Si selezionano le caratteristiche mediante i dip-switch 4-5-6
      (n°8 curve max) e la partenza del motore è controllata con
      ingresso potenziometrico ausiliario, come mostrato in figura 4.
      La corrispondenza tra le portate e le pressioni, con la
      disposizione dei dip-switch, viene decisa in fase di
      programmazione ed ogni ventilatore ha un documento allegato
      che descrive quali portate e pressioni sono state programmate.
      Performances are selected by dip-switches 4-5-6 (8
      performance curves max) and starting phase is controlled by
      potentiometric input, as shown in figure 4.

      LEGAME SEGNALE ANALOGICO - FREQUENZA
      La relazione tra la frequenza del motore e il segnale analogico di
      controllo è data , entro il ± 5%, da:

      K dipende dal campo di frequenze selezionato e dal tipo di segnale
      analogico di controllo (secondo tabella 5).
      Per frequenze inferiori a quella minima (10% fnom ) il motore viene
      spento.
      L’andamento è evidenziato in figura 3.

      Per tutte le applicazioni che richiedono un controllo
      preciso (piu` lento) per due o più ventilatori in
      parallelo, è necessario prevedere l’opzione
      “PARALLEL”. Vedere sessione PARALLEL per
      informazioni dettagliate.
      Motor is designed also to realize a high precision
      control (slower) in order to be used in parallel fans
      application.

      9.0 MODALITA` “ALTA PRECISIONE” PARALLEL
      Il motore elettronico è predisposto per poter realizzare un
      controllo preciso (e più lento) in modo da essere utilizzato in
      applicazione di ventilatori in parallelo.
      Questa opzione è realizzata (quando il motore non è
      programmato in velocità) con il DIP 7.
      DIP7 = OFF ? Normal
      DIP7= ON ? Parallel/High precision
      In questo caso l’uscita ALARM (4/8) funziona come uscita
      tachimetrica per indicare la velocità a cui sta funzionando il
      motore.
      Viene fornito un segnale pwm in cui il duty-cycle è
      proporzionale alla frequenza di funzionamento (sincrona).
      F (Hz) = 0 ÷ 99 Hz ? = 0-*
      VM=Vdc*
      La tensione media fornita è quindi proporzionale alla
      frequenza di funzionamento. (vedi fig 8)
      9.0 “HIGH PRECISION” PARALLEL MODE
      Electronic motor is designed with the possibility to realize a
      high precision control (slower) in order to be used in parallel
      fans application.
      This option is active with DIP7 = ON (when the motor is not
      programmed in speed control).
      DIP7 = OFF ? Normal
      DIP7= ON ? Parallel/High precision
      In this case the ALARM output (4/8) works as tacho output
      where motor speed is indicated.
      Indication is with a pwm signal where duty cycle is
      proportional to motor frequency.
